QUICK START GUIDE


Prepare your template by adding the following tags:
<!--TITLE--> - will place the first line of the page OR the chapter title (whichever is most applicable) in your template. Use between your <TITLE> tags, or as a header at the top of your web pages.

<!--META--> -- places the first sentence or paragraph (whichever you choose) in the template. Use like this:
<meta name="description" content=<!--META-->>

<!--CONTENT_BEGIN--> -- place this where you want the content of the page to be. This is the main section of the page.

<!--TOC-->, <!--PREVIOUS-->, <!--NEXT--> -- these are your navigation links. Place them in anchor tags around text or images of your choosing like this:
<a href="<!--TOC-->">Table of Contents</a>

Prepare your text file by removing any text you don't want on your webpage, like the Project Gutenberg preamble and end of document blurbs. You should also remove any tables of contents in the text, since the program will create a linked contents page for you.

Start Conversionary and choose your preferred page length, output file, template, source file, table of contents type, and other options.

NOTE: The "New Page at the Start of each chapter" option is one to use with files that use all capitals to indicate new chapters AND that have some chapters shorter than your specified word length. All other files will work MUCH BETTER with this option turned off!

If, with the default settings, new chapters aren't getting new pages, decrease your number of words per page by 50 to 100 words.


Click GO!, and within a minute your pages will be ready to upload.
